Revit automation · Data center specialty

Revit automation built for data center projects.

We build custom Autodesk® Revit® add-ins, Dynamo and pyRevit tools, and model checks that take the repetitive clicking out of data center design and construction. Published prices. Fixed scope in writing. You own the custom code we write for you.

30 minutes, free. Within 2 business days of the call you get a written scope with a fixed price for a pilot or first phase, and an estimate range for anything bigger. No obligation.

The problem

Data center work repeats. Your team shouldn't have to.

One prototype becomes five, ten or more buildings. Thousands of racks need IDs. Every density change ripples through power, cooling, sheets and schedules. That's work software should do, so your people can do the work only they can do.

Estimate what one task costs you each year

Tasks we take off your plate

  • Placing and numbering racks, rows and containment by hand
  • Re-typing power path data between the one-line diagram and the model
  • Setting up hundreds of views and sheets for every data hall
  • Checking names and parameters against the owner's BIM standard
  • Building clash reports and sorting false positives every week
  • Filling asset data for COBie and handover at the end of the job
What we build

Tools and content your team keeps using.

We pick the smallest thing that solves the problem. A quick Dynamo or pyRevit script for one task. A proper C# add-in when many people use it every day.

Revit model health check

We review your model by hand against your standard and data center rules, then gives you a fix list in priority order.

Data center specialty

Made for data halls, power rooms and everything between.

  • Data halls: rack rows and IDs, aisle containment, cable tray and busway checks
  • Power: every rack traced to its A and B power sources, with the model kept in sync with the one-line diagram
  • Cooling: air handlers and liquid-cooling units placed and scheduled from your engineer's rules
  • Campus & prefab: one prototype copied to many buildings, plus skid and spool sheets
  • Handover: asset data for COBie, Autodesk Tandem and your DCIM system
7,481 MW

of data center capacity was under construction in primary North American markets in the first half of 2026, and 80.4% of it was already preleased.

Up to 142 kW

per rack for current AI systems such as NVIDIA GB300 NVL72, while air cooling becomes impractical above about 50 kW per rack. Content built for 10 kW halls no longer fits.

Ways to start

Start small. Know the price first.

Every job has a price agreed in writing before work begins, in US dollars. Nothing changes unless you ask for a change, and we quote every change first.

Our demo page has three small tools that run the same rules our Revit tools apply: numbering racks to a scheme, checking A/B feeds against a one-line list, and building a sheet list for every data hall.

FAQ

Common questions

You're a new company. Why should we trust you with our models?

Fair question. We started in October 2026, so we don't have client references yet, and we won't invent them. You can check our demos, a sample scope, our published prices and our written security policy. And you don't have to take a big risk to find out: start with a $500 health check, or a fixed-price pilot with a written acceptance test.

What does it cost?

Health check $500 per model. Pilot script $750–$1,500. Data center kit $2,500–$6,000. Custom C# add-in $4,000–$15,000. Retainer $2,000–$4,000 a month. After a scoping call you get a fixed price in writing for the pilot or first phase. See pricing.

Who owns the code?

Work made only for you (your add-ins, scripts, content built to your standard, documentation) is assigned to you in writing once paid in full. Our reusable components, including the data center Revit kit, come with a permanent, firm-wide, royalty-free license to use and change them on any project; we keep ownership so we can keep improving them. Open-source parts (for example pyRevit, GPL-3.0) stay under their own licenses, listed in your handover.

Which Revit versions do you support?

Revit 2024 through 2027, and 2023 on request. Revit 2024 (and 2023) run on .NET Framework 4.8, so we ship a net48 build. Revit 2025.0–.4 and 2026.0–.4 run on .NET 8, so we ship a .NET 8 build. Revit 2025.5+ and 2026.5+ use the .NET 10 runtime; we ship the same .NET 8 build, which Autodesk expects to load but doesn't guarantee, so we test on both. Revit 2027 runs on .NET 10, so we ship a .NET 10 build installed to Program Files. If your team runs several versions, we build and test an installer for each. Read our .NET 8 article.

Do you do engineering design or stamp drawings?

No. We build software and Revit content. When a tool checks things like tray fill, clearances or redundancy, it applies the rules and values your engineer of record provides. Their outputs are drafting and data aids, not engineering calculations, code-compliance reviews or sealed documents. Your licensed professionals review the results and remain responsible for the design.

Are you affiliated with Autodesk?

No. SS Technologies is an independent company. We build tools for Autodesk software, but we are not an Autodesk partner and Autodesk does not endorse our services.
