Revit model health check
Find out why your model is slow, heavy or off-standard, and what to fix first.
A person opens your model and checks it against your BIM standard, your owner's data center rules and basic performance. You get a fix list in priority order, not just a score.
- Good for
- BIM managers, VDC leads, and owners checking design or construction models against their standard.
- What you get
- A PDF report with a one-page summary
- An Excel issue list with element IDs, so your team can select and fix
- A fix list in three groups: fix now, fix soon, watch
- A 30-minute walkthrough call
- Checks
- Asset IDs, A/B feed fields and schedules against placed equipment; naming and parameters against your standard; warnings, file size, imported CAD and in-place families.
- Price
- $500 per model, paid when ordered.
- Your model
- Read-only. We don't change it. Fixes are a separate, optional step.
Custom Revit add-ins (C#)
Turn a multi-hour clicking job into one button.
Ribbon tools built in C# on the Revit API, for tasks many people repeat every week. You get the installer, the guide and the full source code.
- Good for
- Teams with a task that many people do every week, tools that need a real form or speed on big models, and firms with old add-ins that need a rebuild.
- Examples
- Every view and sheet for a data hall, created from an Excel list
- Parameter sync with Excel or SQL, in both directions
- Rule-based placement of racks, sleeves and hangers
- Model audit commands that export issues to a report
- What you get
- Full source code in your Git repository, an installer for each Revit version you run, a short guide and training video, a written acceptance test and a 30-day bug-fix warranty.
- Price
- $4,000–$15,000 per add-in. Not sure yet? Prove one command first with a $750–$1,500 pilot.
Dynamo scripts & pyRevit toolbars
Scripts your team can run and maintain.
Start with one fixed-price pilot script. Grow it into a company toolbar in Revit, with documentation your own staff can follow.
- Good for
- BIM managers with a pile of graphs nobody maintains, and teams that want quick tools without a full software project.
- What you get
- Graphs ready for Dynamo Player, so people who don't code can run them
- Migration of older Python nodes to the PythonNet3 engine
- A company pyRevit tab with 10–20 quick tools
- A deployment guide for your machines
- Price
- Pilot $750–$1,500 for one task. Larger toolbars and graph-library cleanups get their own fixed price in writing after the scoping call.
- Guarantee
- If the pilot doesn't pass the written acceptance test on the agreed Revit version, we fix it at no charge. If it still doesn't pass within 10 business days of your test report, we refund the pilot fee in full. This doesn't cover changes to the scope, the test model or the Revit version after the scope is signed.
Data center Revit family & template kit
Clean, vendor-neutral content for white space, gray space and liquid cooling.
Families, shared parameters and a project template built for today's rack densities, so every project starts from the same clean data.
- Good for
- Design teams, MEP contractors and owners whose content was built for lower-density, air-cooled halls.
- What you get
- Families for racks, RPPs, PDUs, CRAH units, CDUs and more
- A shared parameter file for power, cooling and asset data
- A project template with views, filters and schedules
- A content standard and a QA checklist
- Price
- Starter $2,500 · Standard $4,000 · Extended $6,000.
- Licensing
- The kit is licensed, not sold outright: a permanent license for your firm to use and change it on any project. Changes we make to fit your standard are yours.
- Your own content
- Need Revit family creation or a project template set up to your own standard, for any building type? We scope and price it the same way, fixed in writing.
Automation that runs across many models, feeds dashboards, or turns the coordinated model into shop output. Each starts with a fixed-price pilot.
Cloud automation with Autodesk Platform Services
Run the same check on every model in your hub, every night, without opening Revit.
We build cloud jobs on Autodesk Platform Services (APS), including Design Automation for Revit, for models stored in Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Good for
- VDC teams and BIM managers with many cloud projects, and owners who want the same checks on every model on a campus.
- What you get
- Nightly batch checks, with results exported to SQL or Power BI
- Webhook automation: a new version is published, checks run, issues are created
- A browser model viewer with your equipment data
- AEC Data Model queries for counts and parameters without opening models
- Running costs
- Since December 8, 2025, some APS APIs (the Automation API, the Model Derivative API and others) are metered. There's a free monthly tier, and paid use runs on Autodesk Flex tokens (minimum 100, valid one year) (APS). AEC Data Model API "Data Out" pricing started October 6, 2026 (APS blog). Autodesk bills usage to your account. We estimate usage before we build.
- Your keys
- You create and own the APS app and its keys. We ask only for the permissions the job needs.
BIM data & Power BI dashboards
One view of model health, capacity and status across projects.
We pull data out of Revit models or the cloud, shape it into clean tables, and build Power BI dashboards your leadership can read without opening a model.
- Good for
- Owners and developers tracking several campuses, GC leadership, and BIM managers who report on model quality.
- What you get
- A data extractor (Revit add-in or APS)
- A table design for your data warehouse
- Dashboards: model health trend; MW and rack counts by hall; issue and clash trends
- A data dictionary that explains every field
- Good to know
- Autodesk's Power BI connector reads scheduled Data Connector extracts, not live data, so we set up the refresh schedule (Microsoft Learn). People who view shared dashboards need Power BI licenses.
Clash & coordination automation
The same clash matrix every week, grouped and assigned, without the copy-paste.
Tools for Navisworks® that run your standard clash tests, cut the noise and hand each trade a clean list.
- Good for
- GC and CM VDC teams running weekly coordination, and trade contractors who receive the clash lists.
- What you get
- A batch clash runner for your test matrix
- Grouping by grid, level, data hall or trade
- Filters for common false positives, using rules you approve
- BCF and Excel exports
- Weekly trend data for Power BI
- You'll need
- Navisworks Manage on the machine that runs the clash tests.
Prefab, skid & spool automation
Assembly sheets, numbers and bills of materials generated from the coordinated model.
For electrical and mechanical prefab, where one project can need hundreds of near-identical sheets.
- Good for
- MEP and electrical trade contractors, prefab shops, and GCs managing skids and modules.
- What you get
- Spool and assembly sheets
- Assembly numbering to your scheme
- BOM and cut-list export
- Weight and QR code tables per skid
- Status parameters: designed, released, fabricated, installed
- Works with
- Revit MEP fabrication parts and standard Revit families, alongside the fabrication add-ins your shop already uses. Tell us your fabrication database and spool standard on the scoping call.
- Good to know
- Weights come from the model and are for estimating and logistics only, not for rigging or lift plans.
Get clean data to the owner at the end of the job, keep your tools working on new Revit versions, and keep a developer on call.
Digital twin handover: COBie, Autodesk Tandem, DCIM
Hand the owner clean asset data, not boxes of PDFs.
We check the model's asset data against what the contract asks for, fill the gaps from your registers where possible, and produce files the owner's systems can load.
- Good for
- GCs and commissioning teams closing out a job, and owners and operators who receive the data.
- What you get
- A COBie completeness check and a fill list
- Autodesk Tandem parameter mapping and setup
- DCIM import files for racks, positions and power connections
- Mismatch reports between the model and the owner's records
- Good to know
- COBie is required project by project through the contract (NIBS), so we start from your contract's exact requirements.
Revit & Dynamo upgrade services
Get your tools working on the Revit versions your team actually runs.
Recent Revit releases changed the framework add-ins run on, and Dynamo changed its default Python engine. Tools that worked last year may not load today.
- Good for
- Firms whose in-house or inherited add-ins and Dynamo graphs stopped loading or started failing after an upgrade, and teams planning a move to Revit 2027.
- What changed
- Revit 2027 runs on .NET 10, and add-ins installed for all users now go in Program Files (Autodesk Developer Blog, Apr 2026).
- Revit 2025.5 and 2026.5 moved to the .NET 10 runtime. Autodesk expects .NET 8 add-ins to keep loading but doesn't guarantee it (Revit API forum). Microsoft ends .NET 8 support in November 2026.
- Dynamo 4.0 made PythonNet3 the default Python engine, replacing CPython3. Graphs written for IronPython2 or CPython3 may need changes (Dynamo release notes; DynamoBIM guide).
- What you get
- A rebuilt add-in for each Revit version you run, an installer per version, regression tests on sample models, and migrated Dynamo graphs.
- Price
- We review your code for free, then give you a fixed quote.
- What the end of .NET 8 support means for your Revit add-ins
Monthly automation retainer
A developer on call for your Revit tools, without hiring one.
A monthly hours bank for fixes, small tools and upgrades, with model health checks included every month.
- Good for
- Firms with several in-house tools to keep current, and teams that want small requests handled without a new contract each time.
- What you get
- A monthly hours bank for fixes and small tools
- Help with yearly Revit upgrades of the tools we built for you (what's included depends on the tier)
- Monthly model health checks, separate from the hours bank
- A roadmap call to plan what to automate next
| Tier | Price | Hours bank | First response |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $2,000/mo | 20 hours | 1 business day |
| Standard | $3,000/mo | 30 hours | 1 business day, priority queue |
| Priority | $4,000/mo | 40 hours | 1 business day, first in queue, plus a weekly live call |
Unused hours roll over one month. Included health checks don't use hours from the bank. Billed monthly in advance.
Every service, tuned for data center work.
Data center projects repeat: one prototype becomes many buildings, and thousands of racks need IDs and power data. That's the kind of repeated work these services are built for. They work on any building type too.
- Health checks: unique asset IDs, A/B feed fields, schedules against placed equipment
- Add-ins and scripts: rack rows and IDs such as
DH1-A-03, sheet sets per data hall, power path sync with the one-line list - Kit: rack, RPP, PDU, CRAH and CDU families with shared parameters
- Cloud and data: MW and rack counts by hall, the same checks on every campus model
- Clash and prefab: clash groups by data hall, skid and spool sheets
- Handover: COBie, Autodesk Tandem and DCIM import files
of onsite electrician time, about $1.8M, saved when DPR prefabricated 25 electrical rooms on 2 MW skids, as DPR reports for its Central Texas data center work.

How we work, step by step · Security, NDA & IP · Services by role
Questions buyers usually ask about our services
How do we choose between a script and a full add-in?
Use a Dynamo or pyRevit script for one task a few people run. Use a C# add-in when many people use the tool every day, it needs a real form or speed on big models, or it must survive Revit upgrades cleanly. We recommend one on the scoping call, and sometimes the answer is a mix. Read the full comparison.
Do you only work on data centers?
No. Data centers are our specialty because the work repeats so much, but every service on this page works on any building type. Without data center equipment in the model, we simply skip the data center rules.
Can we combine services?
Yes. For example: a health check first, then a pilot for the biggest problem it finds, then a retainer to keep the tools current. Each step has its own written scope and price, so you can stop after any of them.
What do you need from us to start?
A person who knows the task and can test the tool (about 1–2 hours a week), a sample model or access to one, your standards documents, and Revit licenses for your users. If we work in your cloud models, we agree on the scoping call who supplies the Revit seat and the Autodesk Forma access.
Who owns what you build?
Work made only for you (your add-ins, scripts, content built to your standard, documentation) is assigned to you in writing once paid in full. Our reusable components, including the data center Revit kit, come with a permanent, firm-wide, royalty-free license to use and change them on any project; we keep ownership so we can keep improving them. Open-source parts, such as pyRevit (GPL-3.0), stay under their own licenses, listed in your handover. IP details.
How do we pay?
We invoice in US dollars. Fixed-scope work is 50% to start and 50% on acceptance, due in 15 days. Health checks are paid when ordered, and retainers are billed monthly in advance. We accept ACH, wire, and card for smaller items. Prices exclude any applicable taxes. Full terms.
Not sure which one fits? Describe the task.
We'll recommend the smallest thing that solves it. Within 2 business days of the call you get a written scope with a fixed price for a pilot or first phase, and an estimate range for anything bigger.
